POPULAR QUESTIONS

considering counselling or looking for the right therapist?

These frequently asked questions can help you understand the process and decide whether counselling is right for you.

I offer both online and face-to-face counselling sessions. Online sessions are conducted via video call, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home anywhere in the UK. Face-to-face sessions are available from my counselling room in Cheshire for clients who prefer in-person support.

Many people seek counselling when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or struggling with difficult life events. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Counselling can provide a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences, helping you gain greater self-awareness and develop healthier ways of coping.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions and decide whether counselling feels like the right next step for you.

My counselling fees are £50 per session. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are available both online and face-to-face. You decide how often you attend our sessions – whether that’s weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, that’s entirely your choice.

Online counselling is available to clients throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

For face-to-face counselling, I work with clients from across the North West and Cheshire, including Chester, Northwich, Winsford, Nantwich, Crewe, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

Counselling can support a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

– Anxiety and stress
– Depression and low mood
– Bereavement and loss
– Relationship difficulties
– Self-esteem and confidence
– Trauma and past experiences
– Workplace stress and burnout
– Life transitions and personal growth
If you’re unsure whether counselling can help with your specific situation, please get in touch for an informal conversation.

Your first counselling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your reasons for seeking support, any goals you may have, and answer any questions you might have about the counselling process.

There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and sessions move at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood.
