Counselling Services in Cheshire | Bollington

Local In Person, Telephone & Online Counselling

I provide counselling in Cheshire, including Chester, Warrington, Knutsford, Northwich, Congleton, Wilmslow, Altrincham, South Manchester, and the wider North West. Counselling can be online, by telephone or in-person. Every session offers a confidential, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, working together towards greater emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

Person-Centred Counselling

Person-centred therapy places you at the heart of the counselling process. Rather than directing or advising, I provide a warm, accepting and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences safely through traditional talking therapy.

This therapeutic approach is based on the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and positive change when they feel truly heard and understood. It can be particularly helpful for anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, stress and life transitions.

Together we work at your pace, helping you develop greater self-awareness, confidence and emotional resilience.

Walking Therapy

Walking therapy combines the benefits of counselling with the calming influence of spending time outdoors. Rather than meeting in a traditional therapy room, sessions take place while walking together in one of the many safe, peaceful rural settings that Cheshire has to offer.

Many people find that walking side-by-side makes it easier to talk openly, while the natural environment can help reduce stress, improve mood and encourage reflection. Walking therapy offers the same confidential, professional support as indoor counselling, with the added wellbeing benefits of gentle movement and connection with nature.

As part of my counselling in Cheshire, walking therapy can be particularly beneficial for stress, anxiety, burnout, grief and anyone who feels more comfortable talking while walking.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive space where people facing similar challenges can come together in a safe, professionally facilitated environment. While everyone’s experiences are unique, sharing alongside others can reduce feelings of isolation and help build understanding, confidence and resilience.

Listening to different perspectives, offering mutual support and recognising that you are not alone can often become an important part of the healing process. Sessions encourage respectful discussion, personal reflection and emotional growth while maintaining confidentiality and trust.

Group therapy can be a valuable option for those seeking connection alongside individual therapeutic support.
